It's not uncommon for a track to have four or more of these forks, and they really make each track feel generic. Every track has the same forks in the road, and an onscreen arrow tells you which direction to choose. There are a ton of tracks in the game, but aside from different race locales, the track design isn't too different from track to track. Just don't try to pull a wheelie over a truck. As you complete tracks, you'll earn points for racing and fighting well, and these points in turn grant you extra weapons and nitro boosts. You advance by placing third or higher on a track. In the game's main mode, you'll ally yourself with a gang and advance through its ranks.
